If you plan to give birth at home, contact your midwife to discuss your options. At present women on low risk pathways who are not suspected or confirmed to have coronavirus can still choose to have a water birth in our birth centres or on our labour wards. The fetal Medicine Unit workload has been steadily increasing over the last five years, and this is a reflection of increasing delivery rate at St Georges Hospital.
